Staff:	Updates: 10/20/08 - YAY. Everything's going great. We've got almost the entire site set up (except for the king's castle and mainland). I'm excited with how things are going. EVERYONE please attempt to make us a banner. It's bare up there. -points up- 10/15/08 - Ew. I had PSATs today. Anyways so I've finished getting the side and top banners sorted out and now we need an image banner for the top. I urge everyone to enter the contest. 10/12/08 - The forum is created! Yeaaahhh. We already have five members (including myself and my sister; but I'm not complaining). We're getting all the important stuff down and enjoying every minute of it. Or well...I am at least. c:	Contests: So you may have noticed we are lacking images on the front page. WE NEED A BANNER. Thus, we are having a contest. Rules as follows: 1. Image must contain a castle and must be black and white. 2. Image must have "Vie de Chateau" in there somewhere. 3. It must have a width under 1160. End date: TBA

Welcome:

Welcome to Vie de Château, an advanced/literate medieval human roleplay. The overarching plot is a battle between two kingdoms, those of Géant (of the North) and Épique (of the South). These kingdoms are the two separate halves of the island of Île which resides quite near Europe. Because of their remote locations, each kingdom is extremely small (as a Lord's "kingdom" from approximately the same time would've been) and contains only a single castle and one town. The infrastructure of each castle and town is very different from the other, in size and layout, but both are equally prosperous and have a similar population. They began as allies, the kings planning to marry their children and become one great kingdom. But when Épique's princess goes missing, it's king blames his neighbor. When war is waged, it will take a great amount of cunning and military precision for either side to win without plunging the entire island into an economic depression and doom them all.

Gender: I'm a chick.
Roleplay Expirience: About two years. Tori hooked me up to it. I like marching band, high school, medieval, and any type of fantasy board.
Hobbies: I'm a marching band girl at heart. xD *points to her own site, which is a marching band board* I'm much more girly then Tori, though I like any sport, though softball is my favorite.
Fun Facts: I'm in a band with Tori (yes, the same one on here) Only I'm the lead singer. I'm also the drum major in our high school marching band, same one as her, and we're best friends in real life.

Winter is approaching, and though during the day highs of 70 degrees are common, nightly temperatures plummet to nearly freezing. Frost coats the early-morning earth, and it is not a very prosperous time. Though disease is rare due to the high standards of sanitation, any illness that exists is rampant during this time. Armies are usually dormant and villagers tend to congregate and participate in tasks such as the making of fabric and the tanning of hides.
